Safe AI adoption with Elfworks

Many Australian accountants are asking the questions: Can I trust AI to become part of my way of working? If so, how do I go about this?

The team at Elfworks, we have been working on these questions for two years with the result being their Accounting Intelligence product, an application providing AI enhanced advisory and research functions and productivity tools for Australian accountants.

The issues with AI trust tend to break down into two main categories: mistrust as to accuracy of output and mistrust around client data breaches.

Accuracy:
The Elfworks application does not trust AI models to deliver accurate results to complex client questions on their own. However, after close to two years of testing, specifically with ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Grok, they have developed a process, we call multi-model validation, that weeds out the common errors made by the major AI models. To further improve accuracy and trust, every piece of advice is also validated against a comprehensive database of legislation, case law, private rulings, and ATO published documents. This process works with their respective strengths and compels them to work as a team to deliver accurate results. Teamwork really does make the dream work!

Data Privacy: 
If you or one of your staff upload client information into a free Ai model without client consent, it is very likely you have breached the Privacy Act 1988. This is due to free AI models holding onto information to train the model. Elfworks uses enterprise level subscriptions which allow for opt-out of data storage and testing so client data is deleted by the AI model and will not be used for testing. Thus, preventing data leakage and ensuring that you comply will all data privacy regulations. Can you trust AI to become part of your way of working?
