Most of the time finance leases, chattel mortgages, hire purchase loans, however you like to refer to them, are reconciled at year end, in bulk, by a tax accountant. Realistically this solution is not efficient, accurate or timely. Expenses are not realised in the correct month, fortnight or week for management accounting purposes and often accountants take shortcuts in the reconciliation process because of the laborious nature of splitting schedules up between up to four liability accounts, per schedule in the balance sheet. Simply put, the value proposition for doing it properly doesn’t often doesn’t add up. Hero Blue is here to fix this problem.
